Over the last seven years I’ve published literally DOZENS of raw food testimonials and success stories. However, due to the new U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations, I've removed all of them from the website.
This is my explanation of why I’m doing so…
I've published one success story after another that showed regular people overcoming health challenges with Dr. Ann Wigmore's Raw Living Foods Lifestyle.
I kept blogging solid, real-life information from people in all walks of life, from all around the world, with all sorts of great results.
This all happened by accident - every week, almost every day, people mail and email me letters and testimonials about how a raw food diet has changed their life. Many just do it in thanks, and most want to share their success with the rest of the world.
It's incredibly gratifying to have people come up to you and tell you how you helped them recover from a health challenge, to turn their lives around, or the life of a loved one... that you changed their lives... it's powerful stuff. It was downright amazing for me.
Then, later, I would get letters about how one person's success story inspired another, and how much a particular story helped them along the path to better health.
To think that I had helped so many people with this information... well, that's why I'm so passionate and why I'm always so excited to teach about Dr. Wigmore and her lifestyle.
I love making that kind of impact on people.
Unfortunately, the party has coming to a close.
On December 1st, 2009 the FTC changed the rules about testimonials… and I’ve got a feeling that they’ll view success stories as testimonials.
In the past I was able to publish success stories with the disclaimer that "results may not be not typical," but according to the new FTC rules, that disclaimer will no longer do.
In order to keep publishing success stories and testimonials I will need to state what results ARE typical.
Unfortunately, the FTC has yet to define how I’m supposed to measure or declare what’s typical… and I’m not willing to be a test case.
That means I’ve been forced into a corner… I can’t see any other course of action other than pulling down all success stories and testimonials.
So they have gone away.
Yours in Great Health,
Jim Carey
P.S. You can always check YouTube and Google for success stories. I'm just not allowed to use them since I can't define "typical" results.
